Our Wedding

HDB Re-sales Unit

Saw this in HDB website under Sales of balance flats. Till now my blk got 3 units availble. When we saw all are high floor unit, we feel sad. At the time of applying, we left with no choice. We wanted this blk, but highest floor at that time was Level 7. We wanted our unit facing main road, we do not want flat to flat view. If we choose unit facing inwards, sure got high unit. So no choice, we take Level 7 unit since we prefer facing main road units.
If we have this 3 units to choose, we will take the #13-595. 2nd choice will be #10-597. But too bad, there wasnt much choices. Our queue number was almost the last fews. We keep thinking those that get good numbers were damm lucky. This was our 2nd bto we are balloting. The 1st one we dont even have a queue number. We are 1st timer, 1st time applying, so hard for us to get. We were so happy when we have a chance to go down to choose a unit. Of cause the units we wanted was all taken up. (Which now available as people gave up their units) We were thinking if they did not apply, we might have a chance to choose...
When people give up their unit, they have many reasons. Decide not to marry anymore, change of heart so give up, even though paid 10% fees, still have to give up. Maybe gave up cause they have better offer? Or feel they can't affort? Or they decide to give up their citizenship?
The one to gain will be HDB, they wont refund you, you can only forfeit it. Of cause the price of these units now is far more expensive compare to 3 years ago, should be at least $60,000 more than we bought in the past. Prices of HDB only increases... I began to wonder, when our kids grow up, will they be able to affort to buy a flat?
My answer will be "NO"! I dont know how are they going to survice in Singapore. Like singaporeanson plan, to help Albany save $1 a day. Its a good idea, i will follow too heheehee... To save for my kids if i have one in future.

I will die early

I believe i will die early, so i dont really need to worry when i grow old i cant get a job. Who can really understand my agony? Why do i say i will die early?

Every single day, i am facing Singapore Number 1 transport problem. Travel by bus, it will jam till i want to scream...blood boiling to the max, travel by mrt worst! You have to worry hearing this:" Due to a track fault again, the train will be delayed." And i happily waited 25 mins for A TRAIN to arrive!

This is really ridiculous. Forever like this, when than can have no train or track fault? when can MRT goes smoothly? Still dare to say is world best transport? I waited till my blood vessel going to burst! I really will die early if this continues everyday. Seriously, i began to think if i should continue to stay here anot. I don't wish to die early.

Today, just travel from loyang to Pasir Ris mrt, took me 40 mins! A usually timing of not more than 15 mins trvelling time, today travelling time 40 mins!!! Can you imagine? Jamming all the way, whole Singapore route jam! If you think travel by mrt will be the fastest solution, you are DAMM WRONG! You can wait for up to 30 mins for a train to arrive!

When i move in to punggol, i need to check if there is any bus travelling from Sengkang to Punggol, although travelling by mrt is only 1 stop, what if i need to wait 20 to 30 mins for a train to come? I think by bus will be faster. It seems like every month mrt can break down 3 to 4 times! Bus the most jam ba, no matter how, there is no best transport.

They keep saying wanting to improve Singapore transport. How to improve? come on lal, its impossible! Looking at this situation, its impossible. I don't trust them at all! Never! Only know how to kill my cells! Suck my blood! Taking my money!

1) Two service disruptions on the North-South Line (NSL) that took place on 15 and 17 December 2011 caused major disruptions.

2) On December 18, 2011, all MRT Stations on the North-South and East West MRT Lines were not opened at the usual 5.30am, to perform checks on all trains and tracks. The MRT service will start at 10am instead.

3)MRT services down again...this time due to ' a signalling fault' in Jan 2012

4) Last: Singapore MRT North East Line Breakdown 15-03-2012

5) Today 27 Mar 2012,: Due to track fault again, Pasir Ris mrt delay 25mins.

Did i miss any dates out? I believe i did, but cant remember when haha. SMRT Jia you! Continue your good work in breaking down ya. Singapore route all continue to jam ya.

Encourage hiring for 45-54 age group Letter from Yoon Wai Nam 04:45 AM Mar 27, 2012

I refer to the Manpower Ministry's letter "More companies here tapping older workers" (March 21), which pointed out that 61.2 per cent of residents between the ages of 55 and 64 were employed last year. This means that 38.8 per cent of them were not employed. More importantly, the next cohort in line, between the ages 45 and 54, is a bigger age group (16.7 per cent of our population). This group has a high chance of being restructured out of work or may opt for early retirement. Any failure to keep them engaged in employment would lead to a population that is more dependent on economically-active and typically younger workers. We need to formulate the best way to harness the accumulated experiences of this cohort, persons highly qualified in their traditional industries. This group has witnessed the opening-up of China and the challenges of globalisation. There would be missed opportunities if we do not capture their experience either as mentors or as strategic hires in corporations and within the non-profit sector. Local companies and non-profit organisations should step forward and lead the way.
I got this article from ONLINE TODAY. I began to wonder, what will i be when i reach the age of 50? Am i still healthy enough to work? What about my hubby? We cant affort not to work as we still have a house to pay. Even you reach the age of 60, you might have to continue work, in Singapore, no work = DIE!
When you look around, actually not many old people gets a job, in hawker, i see young FT clearing the plates (Cant our uncles aunties do it, or they refuse to do), i see FT selling foods, selling drinks in kopitiam (Cant our uncles aunties do? Or they dont want to do), i see FT sweeping the shopping mall floor ( Why not our uncles aunties), i saw FT washing toilet (Why?). I saw FT working in ntuc (I think our aunties will be able to learn or they refuse to learn?)....
If i reach 55 years old and still need to work. Will they rather employ a young FT than me? They are cheaper and can learn faster. Compare to me (age 55), slow and may not be as cheap as them. I told my hubby to learn play guiter, in case when we are old and jobless, he can go play guiter and sing, i will go fight with FT to sell tissue paper, collect cans....cardboard.
I began to think of nottis, now they work hard, but when they are old, will they have a much better life than us? I believe they will, when they reach 50 plus, they might be able to retire while in Singapore, ifs impossible to retire ubless 1 million dollars drop from the sky. Really must consider get out of singapore. Really dont know, can only try to save more $$.

Why do i start to write blog

I started having my own blog long ago, before asingaporeanson even started. I realise i don't really know what to write so i stopped for a time being. Till the day he started to have his own blog. From there i slowly started to write again. Of cause cant compare with notti, i enjoy reading his blog, while reading i might either laugh or cry. Notti inspire me to try writing my own blog.

I never share my blog with others, nor did i post my blog in my facebook. I believe my english is not that good, alot of grammer mistake, who cares, i not going for competition. But i just dont like to share it in fb acc for everyone to read, its really nothing special about my blog. I cant write like notti, his english was bombastic, i believe his blog have more than 500 people reading it. So i am low profile, i dont need many people to come and read. I believe only afew like nottis, my hubby and some of my friends will read, thats enough.

Until recently, my hubby was the 1st one to post my blog in facebook, and people start reading, than notti post my blog too in his facebook, more people click to have a look. I know everyone's opinion are different. IF unrelated people want to come kpo and read my blog, and YOU dont like what i write, thats your problem. In the 1st place i never INVITE you to read. I NEVER FORCE you to read, so dont read ya. I dont welcome different channel people to read. (Alan, i am not talking about you ya, but i have to say your english damm powerful heeheee.)

I dont write everyday, dont actually need to write every single day. I only write when i have something in mind which i wish to say it out, happy, angry or sad. I am free to write whatever i want, whatever i wish haha. I wont change because some unrelated have too many opinion, non of my business.

Till now i only read 1 person blog, thats asingaporeanson blog. I like reading his blog, others, i am not interested to look or read. I dont care what they write or think, i just not interested, they are unrelated to me. So why read? I read notti's blog because he is my good friend, i would want to know hows his life is now and hope everythings good will come to him.

I hope to see him back for a visit soon....hubby and me waiting to treat notti's family ICE KACHANG!
