I "LOVE" SingaPORE

I love Singapore because It is a top country, everything is Number 1!!! Transport number 1, MRT BREAK DOWN record number 1. How many times have they break down? In 6 mths time, break down how many times? Tell me lal! I love singapore cause they only know how to say SORRY. Everytime the same WORD. Only say no action...SORRY SORRY SORRY... Please lal, pay those people who are late for work because of YOU!

I love Singapore because the EXPRESSWAY alway jam, i recently change the name "Expressway" to "Slow-way", but someone choose "Jam-way", i think JAM WAY the best, because no matter what time, rain or no rain, its forever jam. Whenever i reach jam-way i become very happy, our road here are so FANTASTIC. Rain will jam, accident will also jam. Every single day jam. JAM JAM JAM, such a wonderful country.....everywhere any road also can jam, no one can win us in jaming the road...

I love Singapore cause our singapore drivers to me are all champions! They can drive at the speed of 20!!! Fantastic! No wonder JAM-WAY will jam. No rain also drive at speed of 20, rain more wonderful, drive at the speed of 10, so clever! We dont need good cars here, cause no matter how good the car is, reach jam way you will cry. No no wont cry is laugh till you want to die. In singapore no matter you go by MRT or BUS, nothing is safe, mrt will break down, bus will jam in Jam Way. Drive also same. Singapore is such a wonderful place to live in, everyday your blood pressure will circulate. I havent add in the waiting time for a bus to come...up to 1/2 for me but i heard before people waiting for 1hr for a bus to come.

I love Singapore because most of the time i feel i am in another country. When i reach Orchard, i thought i am in Philippines, when i reach Chinatown, i thought i am in China, when i reach Little India, i thought i am in India, when i was in mrt or bus, i thought i am a foreigner, as you see i see more than 1/2 of the people in the mrt/bus are either china/philippinos/bangladesh... only 30% are SINGAPOREANS. Such a wonderful place to live in.

I love Singapore because i feel very stress. Want to buy a flat must pay so much, such high living standard really will kill us, slowly sucking our blood till we left bones. Earn such little pay and fight for jobs with FTS! There are many jobs out there but companies would rather emply FTS ya....so what are we?

I love Singapore because i dont feel like a 1st class citizens! I feel we are ( Singapore born) 3rd class citizens, we need to fight for a place in school with FTS, we need to fight for jobs with FTS, we need to fight for a space in mrt/bus with FTS...We need to fight for a place to stay with FTS too...SHIT! What else, go toilet also must fight? Give birth need to fight for a place anot?

I love Singapore because my cpf $$$$ forever not mine, even if i can retire i cant get all the $$$ out! No no, no chance to retire, in this place you can never retire. Cant affort to retire, unless go to other countries, give up citizenship. (Considering)

I love singapore because they let many so called FTS to study for free here and call us "DOGS". And he can continue stay and call us dogs ya....such a wonderful place to live in. What will they call us next? Woof Woof....

Tell me! Do you think FTS will stay in Singapore forever? Come on lal, you need FTS, yes i agree, BUT we don't need so many of them. Do we? And they say they need MORE FTS here! Sooner or later they will go back to their OWN Countries to buy land build house, what about us? We have nothing, really nothing. Are they fair to us? They just let us die here. Who is going to take care of us? I wonder who! In Singapore its best to die early, the longer you live, the longer you suffer.

See how Wonderful Singapore is, such a wonderful place to live in. Everyday have to worry about $$$, worry if can affort to have babies anot, worry about if i will be late anot because of mrt/bus, worry if i will lost my job to FT anot, worry if my kids in futher will have a place in school anot, worry when they grow up cant get into Singapore University and have to send them overseas, if i need to do that i will tell them never to come back to Singapore and bring us along. Worry if everything will increase again anot, worry if fall sick no $$ to see doctor. (I dont think i can get a surgery at $8) Worry...blah blah blah

I love Singapore....so very much! Dont you too love your super nice country?

    omg...this is so sarcastic.

Maybe you should try living in another country, find a job elsewhere , occupy their country, and be a foreign talent too.

Singapore car drivers are mostly rude, impatient and horrible attitude. And, i didn't think they drive at 10km/hr or 20km/hr, you do sound like the impatient driver, typical Singaporean. Scarryyyyy...

No offence, but i think you have not justify the perks in living in Singapore that has attracted many.

Also, who will take up the task of maids, hawkers, cleaners etc etc, if not the bangladesh/indian/indonesia/chinese etc. Certainly not you or me or the young Singaporean.

    I am also 100% make/born/live in Singapore - 3rd generation.

    1. Singaporeans have a weak sense of humor, so I'm not surprised. As far as sarcasm is concerned, your comment carries much more of it than the post itself, if you realised that.

    2. For REAL and genuinely positive experiences about 'living in another country', there is much one can learn, reading from Ah Pooh's blog-friend:
      http://asingaporeanson.blogspot.com/
      (Shoutout to you, -asingaporeanson- ! :-) )

There seems a strong contradiction, on one hand, with "the perks in living in Singapore that has attracted many", and on the other hand, with also mentioning about 'horrible' Singapore car drivers, and non-locals "having to take up the task of maids, hawkers, cleaners etc etc".

Considering such ugly drivers and foreign labour, together with Ah Pooh's 'sarcastic' post here, the 'attractive perks' mentioned are indeed a contradiction.
Looks like there are not that many happy people here any more, if there are even a few at all.

      — from another fellow 3rd generation natural, homemade, wholesome S'porean: our grand-relatives, our late mother's generation, and now us.
And of course, the 4th generation of our children here.

    3. actually how many are really happy, my friend friend's daughter could not get into S'pore uni even thought her results are good, the reason is they reserve seats for FT, so that means the place they rather give FT than to a singaporean. In the end her mum send her overseas uni.

Singaporeanson, i agreed with you that Singaporeans do have a weak sense of humor, and to add on BIG EGO.

The world is globalizing, people move around, and we should learnt to accept the changes and challenges in life. Why not upgrade ourselves, be in the positive right mind set, look at both sides of things instead of blaming others for one's failure?

Alan, i have read the blog you recommended. Yes, it is positive but you should there has never been a grey moments? It seem that the blogger went to Perth for:
      - cheap car
      - cheap housing
      - free medical when the wife was already halfway pregnant.
      - essentially so call better quality of life & taking the free perk that he can't earn in Singapore.

Wonder if the Aussie has a big heart to accept him into their country, or get mad for him taking the perks since he might be another foreigner who earns the monies, leave the shit and return to his homeland?

Is that not the same mindset for the FT in Singapore? Wanting to have better life. They might return to Singapore, or they might stay, we dun know. We are angry because they took the 'perk' away and they are not Singaporean. If one is so narrow minded, then one is bound to fail. What comes around goes around.

One need to constantly upgrade themselves - it is a bunny and tortise race. I hope Singaporean will not be the bunny though it is the impression i gathered in the above comments.

With the fact that you are Singaporean in mind, I am not surprised you list out all the monetary reasons you thought was behind my move to Perth from Singapore such as cheap car or medical.

Selectively, you chose to leave out what I value most and the foremost reasons why I left Singapore which I will not elaborate here since it is all in my blog. The information about cars, housing, medical costs and even groceries prices are meant to be information for future migrants. Again, not surprisingly you took them as what's important to you but in fact they're secondary to me.

I'll leave the rest up to your interpretation, since you have formed your opinion.

    8. One can choose to be open-minded.
One can choose to embrace many sides of the same story while holding on to one's own opinion.

My behaviour now as the host country may reflect how positively I'll be regarded in future, as the guest in another country.

No regrets treating our domestic helper (maid) foreign talent as family.
The reciprocal respect and collaboration we have has strengthened both our young families, both ours in Singapore and hers in the Philippines.

No regrets trying to train to start from the bottom in another place.
I feel more fit and self-actualised, than if I had been narrowly working in a limited tunnel-vision field all these years.

No regrets taking the bitter with the sweet.
I have learnt as much from foreign talents as I have from the locals.
I have also met really ugly specimens amongst the locals as well as foreigners.
